OSS ยท IM System Service Fulfillment โ€“ Inventory Management

What is IM?

The Inventory Management (IM) system is one of three core components in Telecom Egypt's OSS Service Fulfillment solution. It acts as the central repository for all service and resource inventory data โ€” storing what customers have, what network resources are assigned, and tracking every change through its lifecycle.

Key Design Constraints

๐Ÿ“

IM only receives work orders from OM

IM does not connect to CRM or external systems directly for order intake. All work orders arrive exclusively from the Order Management (OM) system.
๐Ÿ“

No voice support in this release

IM does not support voice services in the current Telecom Egypt deployment.
๐Ÿ“

No suspend/resume workflows

There are no suspend or resume cases. Work orders are either TO-DO or Finished.
๐Ÿ“

No direct device connectivity

IM does not connect to network devices (DSLAMs, OLTs) directly. Resource data is synchronized from Matrix/eMatrix.
